Suspension Basics, 21 February 1998

I thought it was a good class. Gary took on a tough job because he is covering a very complex subject, with students of widely varying understanding of the subject.

He is taking the right approach working on the fundamentals first. Just like any complex system, if you don't have your MC set up to some known baseline before you start tweaking it, you will end up maladjusting things to compensate for basic fundamental problems that should have been corrected before you started modifying.

The work sheets he provided are also a good start toward record keeping on the modifications and adjustments we make, another thing that needs to be done if we are going to zero in on our ideal suspension setups instead of semi-randomly adjusting things.
