Doc Wong's '74 Moto Guzzi Eldorado

Cruiser Riding Techniques and Modifications I've done

There's an old saying: "I've never met a bike I didn't like" and each bike I ride offers a unique experience and feel.

One day a friend and patient of mine came to my office with a '73 Moto Guzzi Eldorado and I fell in love with it's looks. I've never owned a cruiser type bike before, but after a test ride on the bike I knew I had to have one. After several months of looking, I found one locally.

Turns out the bike has quite a bit of history. A guy in Texas ordered the bike in 1974 from his Guzzi dealer for his 65th birthday! This bike was his pride and joy and he took incredible care of it. He and his wife toured the country on it for the next 15 years till he died (of natural causes). He put over 80,000 miles on it. Talk about a way to go. The bike was then passed to a friend of a friend who had it for the last 10 years and only put 8,000 miles on it. So what you see is a stock Guzzi in pristine condition. I'll keep up the 25 year old tradition with this bike by meticulously maintaining the bike and doing some subtle modifications to improve handling and performance.
